Project Details
Magnetoelectric sensor systems for cardiologic applications (B10)
Subject Area
Cardiology, Angiology
Biomedical Systems Technology
Biomedical Systems Technology
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 286471992
The project focuses on developing a non-invasive approach to electroanatomic mapping for localizing cardiac arrhythmias, especially those resulting from tissue scarring post-myocardial infarction. The real-time capability of the algorithm, coupled with periodic updates, will offer clinicians accurate and timely estimations of current densities. In the new funding period, we aim to extend significantly the current density estimation algorithm, evaluate its clinical relevance, and explore innovative applications of magnetoelectric sensors in cardiology, ultimately contributing to advancements in cardiac health assessment.
