Currently, for precise electro-anatomical mapping of arrhythmias, an invasive catheter examination is necessary (with corresponding risk). In this project we will thus investigate if a multi-channel combined electro-/magnetocardiogram approach based on state-space models allows reliable non-invasive localization of the origin of arrhythmias. This is even more relevant, as recently stereotactic cardiac irradiation was successfully applied for ablation of ventricular tachycardia, promising a completely non-invasive way to cure arrhythmias in the future.
