Subject Area
Economic Theory
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 280092119
The project will inform about family policy reforms. Their optimal design requires empirical knowledge about (a) behavioral responses of individuals to the incentives provided and (b) societal preferences for redistribution. The project will study the implications of parental leave duration and parental leave benefits for labor market behavior of mothers, and it will conduct survey experiments to analyze determinants of inequality and fairness perceptions as well as preferences for redistribution, leading up to analyzes of the optimal design of policy reforms.
