Sarcoma patients show equivalent local control rates after adjuvant and neoadjuvant radiotherapy, but more often wound healing disorders after neoadjuvant photon therapy followed by wide excision compared to wide excision followed by adjuvant radiation. From the radiotherapist's point of view, neoadjuvant radiation should be preferred for several reasons. Therefore, this study aims to use ions to lower the rate of wound healing disorders in neoadjuvant settings. The primary study objective of the pilot study is to demonstrate the safety and practicability of the study treatment based on the incidence of wound healing disorders and / or a termination of the planned therapy for any reason. The objective of the trial is therefore the proportion of therapies started according to the plan without wound healing disorders and / or an termination. This is true for a patient if no wound healing disorders occurred from the start of radiation therapy up to a maximum of 120 days after resection and if the therapy was not discontinued for any other reason.The aim of the study is therefore to evaluate the safety and feasibility of a hypofractionated, accelerated radiation approach in the case of neoadjuvant radiation with active beam guidance of the long-term sarcoma of the extremities by means of protons or carbon ions before a subsequent tumor resection.
