Cataloguing and digitisation of the medieval manuscripts of the Erzbischöfliche Akademische Bibliothek Paderborn (second project phase)

The project aims at the scholarly in-depth cataloguing of all medieval manuscripts in the Erzbischöfliche Akademische Bibliothek Paderborn according to the current guidelines for manuscript cataloguing issued by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The project corpus is to be expanded: Eight further medieval codices will be included, which have been identified as relevant to the project in the EAB's holdings. In addition, ten lost manuscripts will be described. The descriptive information will be made available online via the manuscript portal (https://handschriftenportal.de/); a printed catalogue will also be produced. In a sub-project, binding stamps will be identified and entered in the online database Einbanddatenbank (https://www.hist-einband.de/). The manuscripts of the project corpus will be digitised in accordance with the DFG's material-specific requirements.
