Project Details
Electron Donors of Different Dimensionality Derived from Bridged Triphenylamines (A05)
Subject Area
Organic Molecular Chemistry - Synthesis and Characterisation
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281029004
The project focuses on the synthesis of novel ortho-bridged triphenylamines (TPAs) and their investigation as functional electron donors. By derivatization at both the bridging and the aryl moieties with subsequent -expansion, new families of N-heteropolycycles with multiple redox centers will be obtained, allowing the generation of open-shell and helically chiral systems. The compounds will be subjected to interdisciplinary studies to gain new insights and to identify the most promising candidates for various applications as functional materials.
