Project Details
Electron Donors of Different Dimensionality Derived from Bridged Triphenylamines (A05)
Subject Area
Organic Molecular Chemistry - Synthesis and Characterisation
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 281029004
The project focuses on the development of synthetic methods towards unprecedented ortho-bridged triphenylamines and their study as a new family of tunable electron donors. The structural, electronic and photophysical properties of these compounds will be fine-tuned by systematically varying the bridging units. The obtained electron donors are expected to form stable open-shell and donor-acceptor systems which will be investigated in close cooperation with material-oriented and theoretical groups as novel organic semiconductors and functional materials.
