In order to obtain a global coverage of the gravitational field measurements, one has to go to space. Though former clock missions have been successful, it is planned to bring more stable clocks to space, like optical clocks. The correct interpretation of clock measurements in space requires a relativistic treatment. Besides studying geodetic applications of clocks in space, we will give a relativistic description of moving clocks and moving gradiometers to also determine the gravitoelectric and gravitomagnetic potentials.
