Subproject A06 develops a model that calculates the motion response of offshore megastructures during their installation coupled with the resulting structural loads in the megastructure. This model will be used to determine the input data for the first instance of the digital twin in the "operation" life phase to be able to give recommendations for installation techniques and associated weather windows, considering structural loads, to minimize damage due to installation. Furthermore, the near-field hydrodynamics of complex offshore megastructures, i.e., jackets, will be investigated using numerical and experimental approaches to determine and parameterise the input data of the model.
