Project A06 investigates the role of the cerebellar signals in motor planning and re-planning by combining behavioral neurophysiology in monkeys and computational network modeling. Project A06 study the contribution of cerebellar output to motor cortical planning mediated directly through thalamocortical interactions and indirectly through cerebellar modulation of basal ganglia activity. We integrate our experimental data with computational modeling to generate functional hypotheses in a comprehensive, cortical-subcortical network model for motor planning.
