Project Details
From nanomaterial surface to function - multifunctional PEGylation, targeting and in vivo proteomics (Q06*)
Subject Area
Preparatory and Physical Chemistry of Polymers
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 213555243
The work of TP Q6 will focus on the analysis of protein corona and the biodistribution of nanomaterials after systemic application. Extending the work of previous TP B11 and TP A7, the composition and relevance of the protein corona for blood circulation and the targeting of NP will be analyzed. In particular, the im-portance of different antibody formats (whole antibody, Fab fragments, scFv, nanobodies) and their suitabil-ity for targeting efficiency will be further explored. Furthermore, the effects of different surface modifica-tions (chemical variation of polyether architectures and functionality) on protein corona and in vivo targeting by surface functionalization (Fab antibody fragments, nanobodies) will be investigated.
