Project Details
Hand Motion Patterns Derived from Empathokinaesthetic Sensor Data as a Diagnostic Parameter for Disease Activity in Patients with Rheumatic Diseases (D01)
Subject Area
Rheumatology
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 442419336
In a standardized stetting a comprehensive clinical status of disease activity will be assessed in patients (N = 150) with RA and PsA in combination with an extensive collection of clinical hand function data. An identical data set will be collected for healthy control subjects (N = 75). The parallel assessment of hand function with „state-of-the-art“ motion capture sensor system will provide a critical foundation for the experimental evaluation and integrated data interpretation with the newly developed hardware within EmpkinS (Projects A01, A02 and A03), which will be implemented for hand function assessments starting in the second half of the first funding period.
