Project Details
Analysis of Charge Transfer Complexes, Radcical Ion-Pairs and Photoatalytic Assemblies by NMR Spectroscopy (C02)
Subject Area
Organic Molecular Chemistry - Synthesis and Characterisation
Term
since 2021
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 444632635
In this project advanced and new NMR techniques shall be developed and adapted to get detailed insights into mechanistic and structural aspects of assembly controlled photocatalysis. A special focus is on the extremely sensitive detection and analysis of paramagnetic interme¬diates via line broadening, CIDNP and contact shifts. These paramagnetic NMR probes shall be used in qualitative and quantitative approaches to get even more wholistic pictures of photocatalytic reaction mechanisms. In addition, the effect of electron exchange rates on elec¬tron back transfer and the overall efficiency of photocatalytic reactions shall be evaluated.
