Project Details
Identification, isolation and molecular characterization of immunomodulatory cells (Z01)
Subject Area
Immunology
Term
from 2007 to 2019
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 24899777
Immune modulatory cells are playing a major role in tolerance after solid organ transplantation and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. CD4+CD25+Foxp3+ regulatory T cells (Tregs) are an important subpopulation of these cells mediating tolerance. Project Z1 is a platform for all CRC738 research groups to identify, isolate and characterize immunomodulatory cells. Although Tregs are in the focus of many CRC738 projects other immunomodulatory cells like NK-cells, NKT-cells, CD8+CD28-T cells, myeloid derived suppressor cells and plasmacytoid dendritic cells can also be analysed using the established Z1 tools.
