Term
since 2022
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 327886311
The aim is to optimise plasma-assisted biocatalysis in order to improve cost efficiency and industrial applicability. Central to this is the evaluation of more cost-effective feed gases - oxygen, nitrogen and synthetic air - as alternatives to the helium-based system used in previous funding periods. Evaluating how these gases affect the formation of reactive species, in particular H2O2 and NO, using gas and liquid phase diagnostics under all conditions, allowing a direct comparison of their effects on enzyme activity, stability and availability of co-substrates.
