This project investigates how turbulence determines the diffusion properties of particles, how the intermittence of the underlying turbulence affects diffusion, and how these effects depend on the energy of the particles. Here, artificial turbulence is generated to simulate particle transport in these realistic turbulent fields with the addition of a homogeneous component. In this way, the diffusion tensor as a function of the energy and turbulence ratio can be determined and made available to the projects in Research Area A. Furthermore, it is possible to quantify the influence of sub- and superdiffusion on astrophysical signatures.
