The theory of intersection of closed positive currents has played an important role in complex geometry and complex dynamics, and also arithmetic geometry. They are even indispensable language to describe many problems in these fields. The aim of the project is to make advances in several fundamental questions about the intersection of currents with an eye on applications to complex dynamics. There are several theories of intersection of currents based on quite different approaches. The first objective of the project is to give a unified treatment of these theories. Secondly, we want to develop analytic tools to understand the singularities of the intersection of currents. Finally, we aim to use these tools to attack equidistribution problems in higher dimensional holomorphic dynamics.
