The proposed LEMOTRA project pursues the goals of the SPP2388 to advance the methodological development of an adaptive, intelligent and digital representation of real buildings in order to provide predictive building management throughout the service life. In the first phase, methodological elements for digital representation of load-bearing structures in the form of BIM models and FE models of various dimensionality and complexity that can be derived from the BIM, the identification of traffic loads from measurement data and the concept of a digital twin for SHM were developed and tested experimentally and numerically using laboratory structures. The main goal of the LEMOTRA project in the second phase is the development of practicerelevant condition indicators, which enable targeted guidance on action based on the German recalculation guideline for existing structures. These condition indicators are to be obtained from the monitoring data and mechanical models that can be traced in construction practice and to enable the creation of short- and medium-term forecasts of the condition of the building with regard to relevant limit states. On this basis, a decision-making process, a predictive condition assessment and targeted measures for the maintenance of the building structure are to be developed. This is intended to be an important element for the expansion of the recalculation guideline in the direction of the instructions for action and to be tested as an practical example. To this end, the methods developed from the first funding period are to be further developed and applied to the demonstrator structure defined in the call for proposals – the Nibelungen Bridge. This main goal is divided into the following sub-goals in the LEMOTRA project, which are also assigned to the following work packages: - Development of methods for extracting FE models of different complexity and dimensionality from the BIM model for the demonstrator structure - the Nibelungen Bridge. - Expansion of the monitoring system at the demonstrator structure and development of the digital twin (DT) for the Nibelungen Bridge. - Development of methods for the automated identification and forecasting of traffic loads at the Nibelungen Bridge using digital twins and methods of artificial intelligence. - Development and testing of practice-relevant condition indicators for the Nibelungen Bridge. - Development of BIM components for mapping the condition of the building in SHM-BIM on the demonstrator structure.
