Project Details
3D-Endoscopy and Defect Detection in Confined Spaces (T14#)
Subject Area
Measurement Systems
Term
since 2023
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 119193472
The aim of the transfer project is to develop a standardized borescopy process for the high-precision 3D inspection of aircraft engine components. This enables the application partner to perform in-situ defect and wear inspections on the assembled engine as well as precise derivation of damage locations and sizes. The borescopic fringe projection sensor including ray tracing simulation framework developed within CRC 871 will be adapted to the inspection task at the application partner. In addition, a fast measurement mode and the industrial application of adaptive fringe patterns are being researched.
