We will start by constructing (nonlinear) SPDE models for the dynamics of the empirical densities of certain particle systems, such as Brownian particles with interactions. The next steps are to control the weak error and to describe the qualitative behavior (such as metastability) of these SPDE models. The study of dynamical properties will be done in collaboration with C03. We will also consider structure preserving numerical discretization methods for our SPDE models and analyze the discretization error. And in collaboration with C01 we will study macroscopic and mesoscopic scales of more complex physically based particle systems, such as open systems.
