Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

1. Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe: L-STAR experiment (2008, April - May) Flow measurements in wall proximity for fusion reactor research to investigate heat transfer. 2. Correlation measurements I (2008, March + May): Measurement of spatio-temporal correlations of fluctuating velocities in a turbulent wake flow at an aeroacoustic wind tunnel. 3. Hard disk drive model (cooperation with Keio University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Japan) (2008, June - Oct.): The flow behavior in a hard-disk drive model was successfully investigated with the emphasis on the complex flow in the narrow tip clearance region for the first time. 4. Magnetohydrodynamics I: Measurements at FZ Dresden-Rossendorf, Dept. Magnetohydrodynamics (2008, March - April; 2009, Feb - March): Measurements at Lorentz-force controlled flat plate boundary layer to study the influence of Lorentz force control. 5. Water channel Measurements at TU Freiberg, Professur für Strömungsmechanik und Strömungsmaschinen (2009, May): Velocity statistics in a turbulent boundary layer was investigated in a water channel for the study of Reynolds number dependency. 6. Correlation measurements II (2009, May - Sept.): Two-point spatial velocity correlations were investigated in grid-generated turbulence and in a turbulent free jet using a dual detection system. 7. Microfluidic flow measurements (2009, August - September): Microfluidic flow measurements were carried out with the result of sub-micrometer spatial resolution. The flowrate in a microfluidic channel was evaluated with high precision. 8. Axial compressor measurements at TUD, Professur für Turbomaschinen und Strahlantriebe (2009, December): The flow in a research-purposed axial turbine was investigated and preliminary insight on the phase averaged velocity behaviors was obtained. 9. Electrochemistry (2009, December, 2010, March - August): Electrochemistry cell flow was investigated using fluorescent particles in the vicinity of the electrodes under the influence of a magnetic field. 10. Magnetohydrodynamics II: Measurements at FZ Dresden-Rossendorf, Dept. Magnetohydrodynamics (2010, August): MHD flow over a backward-facing step under Lorentz force influence was investigated.
