The goal of the proposed project is to develop and study complexity measures for many-body quantum evolutions, quantum states and families thereof. We will focus on circuit complexity and its relation to other complexity notions including geodesic, computational, descriptive and learning complexity. Our aim is to provide conceptual and axiomatic foundations, a systematic investigation and novel mathematical tools for quantifying the intrinsic complexity of quantum states and evolutions.
