Project A8N|Emmerling/Hecht deals with hybrid organic-inorganic materials with a high degree of crystallinity as well as mechanical stability and flexibility. These materials are suitable for the detection and reversible immobi-lization of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs). The aim is to establish sustainable materials-systems suitable for removing PFAS from wastewater as well as fluorinated inhalational anesthetics from exhaust gas and subsequently allow for photo-regeneration by (sun) light.
