In accordance with the overarching goals of the DFG funding programme "Open Access Publication Costs", the project applied for here aims to further promote the primary Open Access publication of research results at the University of Rostock (UR) in order to make a concrete contribution to the Open Access transformation of academic publishing. The project goal is to further increase the Open Access share of the publication volume at the UR and to sustainably provide the necessary funds to finance Open Access publication costs. Existing funding structures and processes are to be further developed during the project, in order to centrally record and manage standardised publication and cost data at the University Library. This should allow transparent monitoring of Open Access costs. The administrative processes are to be simplified and largely automated in order to minimise the additional work for all parties involved. In addition, the funding of Open Access publications is to be established as a basic service for authors at the UR.
