In accordance with the overarching objectives of the DFG funding program "Open Access Publication Costs", the project proposed here is intended to further promote the open access publication of research results from the University of Rostock (UR) in order to make a concrete contribution to the open access transformation of academic publishing. The central aim of the project is to further increase the proportion of Open Access publications at the UR. To this end, the necessary funds to finance open access publication costs will be made available on a sustainable basis, suitable contracts with OA components or central accounting will be concluded and various OA models and Diamond OA will be supported centrally. Central funding has been established as an uncomplicated basic structure for UR authors. Existing workflows for the central recording and management of standardized publication and cost data at the University Library will be further developed using suitable tools over the course of the project. This will enable transparent monitoring of publications and their costs in preparation for the introduction of an information budget at the University Library.
