The project is devoted to the study of derived categories arising in representation theory and in algebraic geometry. The primary goal is to establish new stratifications, which amounts to a classifications of thick and localising subcategories, and to develop appropriate techniques. A leading idea will be the combination of algebraic and geometric methods combined with the study of general base rings instead of fields. Important examples include the perfect complexes on algebraic stacks, the polynomial representations of general linear groups, and the representations of tame hereditary algebras.
