This coordination project is reflecting the coordination activities for the Priority Program on Net-Zero Concrete, comprising a scientific and coordination task for the first funding period. The coordination task is on coordinating the various networking, training and exchange activities of the SPP with the aim to pursue a maximum coherence among the various individual research projects active within this SPP. The activities will be largely focusing on encouraging interactions and knowledge exchange among the various research projects while enabling sharing/exchanging of interdisciplinary and fundamental knowledge through a specially dedicated Data Management Platform (DMP). The scientific task is on the CO2 reduction assessment of the individual research projects selected within this SPP with emphasis on the reduction potential. For this, a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA)-based model will be developed along the full duration of the SPP for which a Postdoc position is added to the coordination project. With this scientific assessment approach, a continuous quantitative comparison of the CO2 reductions achieved within each individual research project of this SPP will be conducted throughout the whole duration of the priority program. A Mercator Fellow will also be added to the coordination project who will support the Postdoc with dedicated knowledge on Machine Learning to enhance possible further CO2 reductions for each individual project.
