Subproject C01 develops a flexible, transformable production system for the execution of linear and circular production processes. By modularizing production resources, the Transformer-Cell enables high productivity while at the same time being adaptive to variable quantities, product variants and fault conditions triggered by uncertain product states. The system is built up in three steps: First, a modular basic structure is conceptualized (WP1) and the required cell hardware and control system are realized (WP2). In the second step, the planning and (re-)configuration system is developed (WP3). Finally, the operation will be investigated including the validation of the system functionality as well as the detection of anomalies (WP4).
