Project Details
Social Interaction in Semi-Automated Road Traffic (P05*)
Subject Area
Image and Language Processing, Computer Graphics and Visualisation, Human Computer Interaction, Ubiquitous and Wearable Computing
Term
since 2024
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 262513311
The project investigates how the increasing automation of driving changes social interaction between participants in road traffic. Using multimodal sensing, including in-vehicle sensors and wearables, we will examine how the integration of sensory media opens up new possibilities for understanding, designing and evaluating these interactions. In this way, the project contributes towards a praxeological-qualitative understanding of the entanglement between human and technical sensing and the design and evaluation of highly automated (traffic) technologies.
