The fundamental laws of the microscopic world are Newton`s and Schrödinger equations, in the classical and quantum case respectively. Nevertheless they are impossible to solve for macroscopic systems where the number of particles is of the order of 1023 and so one uses phenomenological equations. Fluids are described by Euler equations or Navier-Stokes equations; these equations were first derived from phenomenological continuum mechanics considerations but they should be, in principle, derived from fundamental principles. Solving the problem of deriving the fluid equations from the underlying microscopic dynamics has reveled as a formidable task and still nowadays it is far from exhausted even in the classical case; in this project the quantum case is considered.
