Molecular and immunological characterization of symptom changes and course of illness using intense sampling (A05)

The project aims to systematically characterize the link of molecular and immunological factors to symptom changes, course of illness and cognitive-emotional mechanisms in affective disorders. The project performs genome-wide genetic analyses in all 1500 CRC/TRR individuals as well as epigenetic, transcriptomic, endocrine and immunological investigations in a subsample of 150 patients and 100 healthy controls. The project also performs transcriptomic and immunological analyses in selected animal models, and conducts integrative analyses to identify markers shared between species and to characterize multimodal signatures.
