In 1534 four imperial cities in the region of Upper-Swabia (Biberach, Isny, Konstanz and Lindau) founded a donation for the benefit of students (called „Buffler’sches Stipendium“). This donation is included in the context and the religious debates of the reformation era, but it lasts till the beginning of the 20th century. The project focusses on the critical examination of local sources and will enrich reformation research by an educational point of view.
