This study aims to enhance understanding of the immunology of preeclampsia, a condition linked to long-term cardiovascular and metabolic risks for mothers and children. Due to its complexity, effective prediction and timely management of preeclampsia remain challenging. The project will investigate maternal immune activation (MIA) and angiogenic factors across preeclampsia subtypes using preclinical models triggered by anti-angiogenic, immunologic, or combined mal-adaptations. Findings will identify MIA signatures and potential immunologic/angiogenic targets, improving personalized management strategies and reducing preeclampsia's global impact.
