Project Details
Personalised facilitation of skills for diagnosis and intervention during mathematical learning tasks: Case characteristics, cueing and knowledge activation (A02)
Subject Area
General and Domain-Specific Teaching and Learning
Term
since 2025
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 542251251
A02 focuses on the effects of case characteristics and cues on diagnostic and intervention skills for mathematics teaching, considering the moderating role of pedagogical content knowledge. Activating professional knowledge is investigated as a central learning process. Personalization involves targeted variations in case characteristics, knowledge activation prompts, and cueing of diagnostic information. In one validation and three experimental studies, the project investigates how representational and learning process scaffolding affect knowledge activation and skill development, comparing different personalization strategies.
