The service project C3 ensures qualitative and quantitative glycan analyses for the TRR 420. C3 is responsible for developing, providing and assisting with technologies for structure specific glycan analysis in complex communities. This includes the cooperation with external partners in the NMR analytic of dilute glycan samples (sample preparation, measurement and data processing). The basic research component of C3 involves resolving a new biocatalytic cascade for the degradation and quantification of fucans. C3 assists the different teams of the TRR 420 to measure glycans in their experimental test tube and environmental samples.
