Project Details
Learning to give peer feedback: Effects of scaffolding in simulations on diagnostic and inter-vention-related skills, and peer feedback skills (B01)
Subject Area
General and Domain-Specific Teaching and Learning
Term
since 2025
Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 542251251
B01 examines the conditions for effective, personalised peer feedback in the context of simulation-based learning in medical education. Across four studies, the project investigates effects of representational scaffolding on (meta-)cognitive and social learning processes, as well as on diagnostic, intervention, and professional peer feedback skills. In this project, representational scaffolding aims to enhance the matching of peers regarding their learning prerequisites and previously demonstrated performance by adjusting the salience of important information.
