The aim of the sub-project is to develop a fundamental scientific understanding of the process chain for the production of joining elements with regard to the properties of the multi-range capable semi-tubular riveting process, to expand the process limits and thus ensure the adaptability of the technology under practical industrial conditions. To this end, the process chain is being set up with the partners Böllhoff Produktion GmbH and Hillebrand Chemical GmbH in order to conduct targeted research into the cause-and-effect relationships in multi-range rivets that are dependent on the process chain.
