The aim of the project is to catalogue and digitise the sources held at the SLUB Dresden relating to Dresden court and civic church music up to 1930 as comprehensively as possible and in accordance with current standards, thus making them jointly researchable. The basis is the surviving 2,576 manuscript and printed musical items from the holdings of the Dresden Court Church and the Dreyssigsche Singakademie. The joint examination of the surviving material of both organisations takes account of the fact that bourgeois and courtly music-making in the field of church music were closely linked over the centuries. For a long time, the repertoire of the Dreyssigsche Singakademie deliberately complemented the music performed at the Hofkirche. In order to help answer the resulting scholarly questions, the cataloguing of manuscripts (RISM) and prints (K10plus) is to be standardised in the area of provenance recording in such a way that cross-catalogue evaluation is possible. Digitisation will be carried out according to the latest technical standards and will also include the use of technologies such as thermography and multispectral imaging in order to stimulate further research and provide the best possible support.
