The Priority Program "Exploratories for large-scale and long-term functional biodiversity research" is a well-established research platform providing a substantial infrastructure for biodiversity and ecosystem researchers throughout Germany. The Biodiversity Exploratory Office (BEO) is the central coordination unit for project administration, scientific coordination, and communication. The BEO supports the speaker, the steering committee, the local management teams, the central database and all research groups in all their activities. The work of BEO is organized in five Work Packages: Contact and administration; coordination of management and research; public relations; outreach and knowledge transfer work; support of young scientists; gender equality measures. Altogether, BEO provides an indispensable service for all core and contributing projects of the Biodiversity Exploratories program.
