The research project aims to gain deeper insights into the cognitive processes in specialized translation and post-editing of specialized texts. To achieve this, we combine experimental and corpus-based methods. More specifically, we conduct an eye-tracking with translation students. The participants will be asked to translate and post-edit texts of varying complexity from English to German. The eye-tracking, keylogging and corpus data will then be uploaded to the CRITT database and can thus be used to address various questions in the field of translation process research. For the language pair English- German, such a collection and combination of eye-tracking, keylogging and corpus data is still missing in the domain of specialized translation.
