For the years 2026 to 2027, the TUHH is applying for funding for articles produced at the TUHH from DFG-funded projects that are intended for publication in open access journals. The specific aim is to further strengthen the culture of open access publishing in the IT and engineering disciplines and to perpetuate publication funding as an institution-related task. For the future project period, TUB will focus on further developing the already tried-and-tested integration of open access funding, including decentralized costs in the budgeting of the media budget, into a decentralized virtual information budget. From 2027, the information budget will be used as a TUHH-wide control instrument. In addition, the commitment to the OA transformation will be accompanied by the testing of further transformation contracts and Diamond Open Access funding contributions as well as expanded communication measures.
