This project investigates how neuroinflammatory responses influence brain circuit remodeling after stroke. It combines intracortical single-neuron recordings and PET imaging of glial activation in stroke patients with parallel experiments in mouse models. The project focuses on perilesional and functionally connected areas to determine whether glial signals promote or impair recovery. By integrating electrophysiological, molecular, and imaging data, it aims to uncover inflammatory mechanisms involved in functional reorganization after stroke.
