The project asks how actors embedded in the interdiscourse between curriculum work and the specialist and general public perceived, negotiated, further developed and eventually implemented demands for justice and participation in the school curricula. Two Western federal states are compared with the centrally organized GDR between 1945 and 1990. The project enables a better understanding of legitimacy crises and reconstructs curricular thematizations of participation.
