Term

Project identifier
Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project number 549839646
The project addresses the integration crises in the context of the CRC and focuses on organization and practices of inclusion, recognition, and justice with regard to multilingualism in school. Using a mixed-methods design with videographed classroom processes, multilingual discourse, and student as well as teacher interviews and questionnaires, the project investigates multilingual teaching approaches in their relation to student social participation and belonging in different subject-specific teaching domains in elementary school. Findings will provide implications for a theory of inclusion that differentiates between levels of participation in multilingual teaching with a focus on language-based negotiation processes.
