Parent Organizations and Barriers to Belonging in Education [PaOrg*BE] (B02)

B02 is concerned with education-related parent organizations (POs). By reconstructing practices of positioning in POs, the project aims to analyze how organized parents deal with the crisis of integration along various orders of difference (e.g. ethnicity/race, disability, gender, class). B02 assumes that the practices of POs point to barriers of belonging. It follows a poststructural-praxeological perspective and reconstructs norms of recognizability by using the analytical framework of positioning-analysis. In terms of methods, it uses discourse analysis, group discussion and ethnography in Frankfurt/Hessen and Leipzig/Saxony.
