Material properties of fungal composites will be combined with classic building materials such as concrete, glass, metal, wood, bricks, and aggregates to generate novel hybrid materials with F. fomentarius. In addition to the mechanical behaviour of composites, the mutual influence of the materials at the interface, ageing behaviour, and ecological aspects will be investigated.
