Heat-triggered cellular responses mediated by deubiquitylases in Arabidopsis (A01)

We are only just beginning to understand the role of guanidine in nature. In Project A01, we will study how bacteria perceive guanidine and what specific responses are triggered in the cell by guanidine. To this end, we will investigate guanidine as a trigger in the context of antibiotic resistance and identify guanidine-responsive transcription factors. In addition, we will characterise a variant of a guanidine riboswitch and elucidate the associated gene functions.
