Cellular trigger responses rely on molecular interactions and dynamics. In this project, we develop tailored biomimetic membrane systems and combine them with time-resolved FTIR approaches and state of the art QCL spectroscopy. We apply these techniques to understand how heat modulates protein-membrane interactions and dynamics, induces conformational changes in proteins, and affects molecular condensation.
