Our research addresses fundamental problems in the analysis and numerical approximation of optimal control problems governed by nonlinear partial differential equations, with a focus on unregularized problems where the control cost is absent. The objective of the visit is to achieve significant progress on two manuscripts currently under development. The first one investigates quantitative second-order sufficient optimality conditions (SOSOC) for semilinear elliptic problems, while the second develops an adaptive finite element method (AFEM) for the stationary Navier-Stokes equation.
