The task of this project is to coordinate all central activities of this CRC. A large number of conferences, workshops, symposia, focus sessions, and colloquia are being organized by this central project in order to promote the scientific exchange between its members and the international research community. This also includes the support of guest scientist visiting the CRC members and the participation of CRC members at national and international conferences. Lump sum funds are used for supporting the start of new projects, the purchase of key equipment that is critical for the realization of new research ideas, as well as additional educational components like soft skill courses, the block seminar series in "Graal-Müritz", the "iNOW summer school", and the "Nanophotoniktag". It will also be used to foster public relations by participating in events that are very popular for the general public, like Berlins "Long Night of Sciences".
