This research proposal is planned as a prolongation of the DFG research project. The aim of this project is to further develop the rotational CARS technique that it can be used even in situations where strong temperature and concentration gradients are present in the measurement volume. This proposed project is based on the results achieved in the DFG research project Se 804/4-1. The CARS calculation program for spectra influenced by temperature and concentration gradients will be further developed to reduce the necessary computer time for the evaluation of large amounts of experimental spectra. This is necessary for a statistical analysis of data taken in turbulent flames. In order to test and demonstrated the practical use of the developed evaluation routine experimental rotational CARS spectra influence by temperature and concentration gradients will be measured in turbulent diffusion flames.
