Zusammenfassung der Projektergebnisse

Beyond the successful cruises, where high quality could be collected during mostly good weather conditions, the preliminary work showed that the data set collected was suitable to achieve the main objectives mentioned above. Structures could be imaged down to 50 to 300 meter sub-bottom depth depending on attenuation properties. The ring fault system could be identified in single profiles and sedimentation patterns revealed ongoing fault movement and subsidence. To identify volcanic features, further processing work is required but single profiles clearly reveals such units. A first stratigraphic framework had been developed from our data in comparison with published results.
